Josem Consulting attends Retail World 2009
Submit On: 30-06-2009

Having attended Retail World 2009, we are heartened to hear so many retailers confirming their optimism and renewed energy to increase business performance through superior use of technology

Australian retailers attending the 2009 Retail World conference were clear about the importance of multi-channel and cross channel to their business, confirming that Josem Consulting's views are right on target.

Whilst retailers were clear about their needs, they were less clear on how to bring about the organisational changes that they identified.  We at Josem Consulting think we can offer retailers a lot of needed assistance in this area.

We have developed a channel transformation methodology that forms the basis of our process to bring value to our clients in this important area.

There were many presentations that acknowledged the need to seriously introduce increased sustainability, and we look forward to the day that CIO's are measured on the difference they make to an operation's CO2 foortprint.

Our focus on firstly identifying what is important to management, and then using technology to measure movements in these key indicators came up time and again.

The maxim "You can't manage what you can't measure" was certainly reinforced.

The Global Financial Crisis was mentioned often, but so was the opportunity that the GFC presents.  We too are optimistic about our business, and look forward to working on innovative projects with positive-thinking retailers.
